Ed "Mr. Z" Zwanziger, PA-C Mr. Z joined Gun Barrel PCA in March 2003, practicing family and emergency medicine. He works part-time to provide backup for other staff members. One of the first physician assistants in the military (1972), he retired from the United States Air Force after 34 years of active duty. He holds a degree in Allied Health from the University of Nebraska Medical School and a degree in Nursing. He was recognized as PA of the Year for the USAF in 1983 and again for the State of Texas in 2001. Mr. Z is considered an authority in disaster training, both in the military and civilian communities. He is a member of the Speaker’s Bureau with Scott & White Hospital's teen sex abstinence program (Worth the Wait ™) and gives presentations to area schools and church youth groups. Originally from Newburgh, NY, he adopted Texas as his home after meeting
his wife Beverly, who is from Fort Worth. He enjoys woodworking and cooking
